Have you checked out the Jrocknyc home
page lately? I've got a -functioning- guestbook up and running AND
a link to the new Downloads page up! And thar be a surprise bit o'
Luna Sea waitin' fer ye on the Downloads page, arrrrr.
And
hey! Lots of cool shows coming up! I know I said that last week, but
this time it's true! Pierrot and Plastic Tree tomorrow, assuming the
show ain't sold out, Syndrome and Despairs Ray on Tuesday, some other
indies gig on Monday, and D's Ray again the next Friday... i think
(too lazy to check my schedule book now).
So
today was just kind of a relax + prep type o' day. All I did was watch
L'Arc DVDs and eat cookies, play a little geetar, re-organize my makeup
and drugs, and install Direct X 8.1. Productive!
having
done nothin', and so having no photos to share, I grabbed some stills
from Dive to Blue, which at first blush is a very typical/boring
sounding pop song -- the first few times i heard it I didn't even
listen to it all the way through (blame that happy pentatonic-majory
thing going on in the chorus -- borrring!)
But
somewhere along the line, the song really grabbed me; it's happy sounding,
but with this lilting, melancholy melody underneath... I don't know
how they did it, or even if it's on purpose (it seems to magical to
have been spawned by mere humans), but the song is now one of my favorite
L'Arc tracks, along with Lose Control, Trick, and, um,
well, the whole Ray album, actually. Now, the song actually
gives me ~tingles~, like I remember it from my childhood or something
-- I don't understand it completely myself, I just know I like it!
So
anyway, dig the shots from Dive to Blue! And stay tuned, there should
be some cool pix a-comin' in the next 48 hours!
ps
-- I just uploaded a 25-second on-air video clip of Gackt's Another
World... then I downloaded it and tested it. It works! Yay! Cool
song too, very catchy chorus thing happening.
