Oktoberfest
Philip MacKinnon

An eager and raring to go crowed arrived at Griff's Cavern fully prepared for their journey onward, their destination Oktoberfest in Kitchener - Waterloo. After registering and getting their souvenir t-shirts compliments of Break Away Tours the waiting crowd looked forward to the night ahead of them.

Complimentary chips and pop provided by the SRC office in hand, "The Usual Suspects" in the VCR and a euchre game in the back the intrepid voyagers began the journey onward towards Oktoberfest. After a brief stopover at rest stop the journey continued onward, now with "Dazed and Confused" playing the travelers were half way to their final destination.

Arriving at the "Revolution" in Kitchener - Waterloo the eager crowed jumped off of the bus and into Oktoberfest, receiving free mugs for being among the first 100 to arrive.
Awash in a sea of lederhosen, feathered fedora's, and sauerkraut St. Clair College students enjoyed all aspects of the event. Folk dancing, classic German music and a general atmosphere of fun added to the style of the "Revolution."

Joining the festivities on the dance floor student's and SRC directors danced into the night, and participated in all aspects of the event, including airbrushed body art, souvenir hats and photo pins.
Bavarian style pretzels, pickles, and beer nuts, as well as German style dress on the bar staff gave the event an authentic feel that was appreciated by all.

Arriving back at the college in the pre-dawn hours all students made use of Veteran Taxi, paid for by the SRC.
