This is some general info on Jay A. Beck. Jay is 25 years old. He has been plying guitar for over 9 years, bass for over 8 years, drums for about 8 years (though not very often), keyboards for who knows how long, violin for about three years (not well however) and singing for a long long time. Since picking up a guitar in 1993, Jay has always been writing, though, for the first while it was mainly just a bunch of noise making with fellow pals, Don Huntley, David Khober and Ryan Higgins. Not until someone with a little skill started playing with them did they actually start writing real songs. That someone was Brett Ellingson, it's a good thing too...
After picking up a four track in late 1994, Jay started writing and recording songs by himself. Mainly just alternative, grunge and silly songs about rednecks...
Years have past and now all the practice is starting to pay off, though not literally. His music has grown from a linear pathway to something eclectic and exspansive, dabbling in many styles but still remaining true to what really drives him, his passion for love, life and happiness.
