One way or another, you were bound to know about Christina Rumbley. She's got a personality as big as her home state of Florida. Born on December 10th, 1976, Christina has been on a one-way road to fame since she could talk. By the time she was four, she was singing more than she was talking - show tunes, rock or pop, it didn't matter. She just loved to sing. "I've got to admit, I loved the attention!" As Christina was getting noticed for her singing, she also started to gain a reputation as an athlete. An interest in gymnastics turned into a fifteen-year stretch of serious competition. It actually got to the point where Christina had to choose between pursuing the Olympics and chasing her show business dream. Well, the tumbling and vaulting gave way to singing and acting. Among her early achievements was the time she spent with "Singing Boys and Girls of Florida." Never heard of them? Well maybe you've heard of another former member of that group...A.J. Mclean of the Backstreet Boys. " Yes, I know him, and no I can't give you his phone number!" It was after singing with that group that Christina knew she wanted to be a professional singer. High school was an exhausting time for Christina. Homework combined with singing and acting classes and school musicals made for a grueling schedule. After high school, it didn't get any easier. Singing classes continued while Christina carried a full course load at Florida State University. " I was determined to make it as a singer, but there was no way I wasn't going to get my education. I'll always have my degree." And then, Christina had her first taste of professional show business...well she got paid. "Okay, it wasn't Vegas, alright?" What was the gig? "I had to dress like an ape and do singing telegrams. One time, it was a woman named Wilma's birthday, and a guy I had a crush on was there at the party. Oh yeah, by the way, the costume had no head...I thought I was going to die!" Eventually, Christina and her cat, Boots, loaded up their stuff and drove across the country to L.A. A couple of years and hundreds of auditions later, Christina hooked up with the other four girls of i5 and never looked back. Some inside info on the American i5...When she's watching "Will and Grace," Christina chomps on pineapple (must be fresh!)...Her fave movie and movie star? Meg Ryan in "Sleepless in Seattle"... Christina loves anything purple...When she just has to eat junk food what is it? Corndogs and Oreo ice cream!
