Having lasted for years undergrounded, touring basement parties and college keggers, as well as a short self-funded tour of mexico, the Panty Raiders finally broke up in '97 after a stupid amount of albums had been released on cassette only to lucky (or unlucky depending) fans in the audience of their shows.
With an obvious homage to Ween these boys wrote some of the most fucked up songs you've ever heard, and always sounded high on helium (not the band either).
After Doctor Five joined Lick The Star, he suggested releasing an EP of songs from the Panty Raiders last show, which materialized as a SHPR/LTS split single on the Rodent Empire sub-label.
There is now talk of releasing a sort of "best of" on Hello Doll, as well as re-releasing remastered versions of the cassette albums on the Rodent Empire.
