John Martinez was born in Birmingham (U.K.) but has been living in Paris suburb since he was a small kid. he escapes life's bitter reality through music, books, and movies.
John started playing guitar in a gothic-rock-pop band ('HANDLE WITH CARE') for 5 years, did a few gigs with this band 'round Paris, sung in a band ('AMATEUR') recently but as most of the members (50%) were assholes, did one gig then split. the guitar player was good mind you...
John has continued to play music as a solo artist... in his room for several years 'till his debut release on Hello Doll records, fittingly titled Alienated Young Man Creates Some Sad Music. Though the album is quite dark for the most part, John has named Chet Baker and Blur as influences as well as Robert Smith and Morrissey.
John also has also a great interest in Cinema, can act when asked, has a masters degree in
audiovisual arts, has directed 2 short movies.
Hopes to embark on a world wide tour with Mariah Carey... as soon
as the album Alienated Young Man Creates Some Sad Music enters the top 10 on
the billboard.
