factor eight performed on the CJOH television network show Midday Newsline today. Airing this afternoon at 12 30pm, the band played the single "Free" to promote their upcoming show at the Ottawa Civic Centre on Sunday.
factor eight played the closing slot at the John McCrae Battle of the Bands last night. After a twenty minute five song set, factor eight was awarded second place ordinals. factor eight would like to thanks all of those who came out for the show, and congratulate third place winner Rodeo Drive and first place winner Hero For A Day on their performances.
factor eight would also like to thank all those in attendence at the Nepean Student Showcase Jam last Friday. Taking the stage at 11 30pm, factor eight played a six song set to a highly energetic audience. A great time was had by all, and the band would like to especially thank show organizer Fremp Bafi-Yeboa and the City of Ottawa for putting on the show, and congratulate winners Decitone, the Rude Dudes, and the Fonetiks.

factor eight has new merchandise and apparel for sale through CafePress.com. Items such as baseball jerseys, baby doll t-shirts, thongs, hats, and stickers are now available for purchase online through the Merchandise section of the site.
factor eight would also like to thank all those in attendence at the Snojam Leftovers show at Babylon on Tuesday. Taking the stage at 9 30pm, factor eight played a nine song 45 minute set, and debuted the two new songs "Dearest, Distant" and "The Neon Lights". Much fun was had by all, and the band would like to especially thank bands 54stance and Chuck Calibre for putting on the show, along with Superstar Records for including them on the bill.
