factor eight has just been accepted by Superstar Records to appear on a compilation of local area high school bands.  The band will be recording a new track entitled Wounded on September 18th.  We will be posting the new song on our mp3.com site shortly after the song is finished.  Also on the compilation is rubbish, so make sure to pick up the CD when it becomes available in March.  In addition, factor eight will be touring all the public and catholic high schools in Ottawa later in the year.  The tour is aimed to promote the upcoming compilation and will feature the various talent that appears on the CD.

September 9th, 2001
factor eight has been confirmed for a show on the 29th of September in Perth, Ontario.  They will be competing in a battle of the bands at St. John High School.  The battle of the bands will run from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM and admission is 3 dollars.  Come out and support the band.  They are slated to play at  8:45. rubbish will also be playing at 9:30.

Finally, factor eight has been approved on mp3.com. Click the music link to check out our acoustic recordings of Free and See Your Face Again. factor eight hopes to be back in the studio as soon as possible to finish up a more polished version of See Your Face Again. The recording posted was rather rushed, so it is in the process of being rerecorded. Stay tuned for more information on a possible three-song electric recording that, with any luck, will be done by the end of the year.
