Perfectionist that I am I tried to change the positioning of the butterfly, but it didn't really work out.  I really need to start anew or something...but that looks like it will take longer than expect.

Now I can see the horrible truth that my div layers are screwed up even with *this* layout.  Grrr.  Will I ever make it in the world of web design?

Okay, I've compromised with myself somehow.  I got an idea for a neat layout in my head, and I'm going to try to code it.  If it doesn't work, I will get a pre-made layout.  I really hope my idea works out.  =/  I'm not sure if the browser resolutions will screw the positioning and therefore design.

It's weird though...I actually like my layout colors and butterfly/border/cursor design -- all of which I made my myself, by the way.  Some part of me doesn't really want to change it.  ..

Gah, why am I such a masochist?  Why do I insist at looking at other peoples' uber-cool layouts when I know it will just depress me?

Good news is that after looking at a bazillion source codes, I think I got a grasp of divs and tables.  Now all I need is some ART.  I wonder if I can just borrow these weirdo anime/CG images that pop up in search engines?

What the hell.  It seems everyone else does.

Ahhhhhhh.  Thanks to the local ice storm, boredom forced me to plunge into my growing College Mail Heap.  Everything was going great until I read "An Artist's Guide to College" and saw the recommendation for an initial portfolio screening junior year.

This fits into the "majorly sucks" category because I just got the necessary equipment for animation/filmaking two freaking weeks ago.  There aren't any classes at my school, so I'm basically on my own experimenting...how in God's name will I be able to submit a decent portfolio by next November, let alone this year!

Not to mention the crippling handicap that I will be away virtually all summer and consequently must do this during weekends. =/

Yuck.

Yayishness!  After an hour of mindless editing, I've managed to synchronize everything regarding the new layout (note as well the new colored drop-down menus, folks).  Man I wish this stupid host supported .shtml!  Gah!  What a pain in the ass.

Oh, regarding hosting, I swear that I'm going to put the thing in motion *sometime* in the very, very near future.  I'm thinking that I just need to tweek some things before that...my goal is before the end of the month, though.  I got some cash now thanks to the relatives, hehe.

Yeah, so I'm too lazy to put my skeletal little butterfly on all the pages now, but it's a start.  Okay?  After almost a year of being anything but depressed with my layout, I'm started to smile a little more.

Wow, somehow I've survived another year.  Is it 2005 already?  Damn.  Well, I'm going to continue my New Year's resolution of making absolutely no resolutions.

I'm actually psyched because I was lucky enough to get Macromedia flash for Christmas!!  No more wasted activity periods sneaking through tutorials in the school computer lab; now I can fiddle with the program in the comforts of my my own home!

Wow.  It's a week 'til Christmas and I still haven't got gifts for my family members...it's especially challenging because my parents still like it when I "make" them presents.  It's funny because they put up a big show of how cute it is and stuff, and then the next day it's already stuck behind a corner in their bedroom.

I think I'm going to try to write some story for my mom, and paint something for my dad.

Not that you're supposed to rush art or anything.

Gah!  What does it take to steal some MP3s today?  Jeez!  You'd think it was illegal or something.  But huzzah for perserverance, because I finally got my hands on the "Crazy in Love" cover by Snow Patrol and the rare "Last Christmas" from Jimmy Eat World!  W00t!!

Until 5 minutes ago I had been off the bootleg music for about six long months...but oooohhhh it tastes sooooo good....now that I've had a shot I want more, dammit!  But no Kate, remember the 5 steps.  Self-control, self-control...

God help me if I ever actually come in contact with some real narcotics.

Well lo and behold my chem teacher was not at school the day before the final.  God forbid we have any questions.  Heaven help us if we want to see the results of Friday's test that will be added to our semester final.

I can't get this nagging feeling out of my head that I need to add more images to my layout because "all the other sites" have images.

But the other sites also have people who know things about div layers and tables and frames.

Okay, so I tried to be a little consistent and updated the border on some pages...but I'm too lazy to do it all.  V. glad to get rid of the java cursor, though.

And I finally killed the little worm that was linking words out of the directory!  W00t!

I really hate Angelfire, though.  It's icky; look what it's done to the bottom of my page.  I am definitely going to move -- hopefully around Christmas break. =)
