Background:
Annabelle was born in Paris, while her father was stationed
there. She has been doing ballet ever since she can remember. It was
the one
thing that stayed the same, no matter how many times she moved. She's a
perfectionist, and takes it very seriously. Due to the fact that her
and her
sister were army brats, she moved around too much to make real friends,
or
fall in love.
She graduated from a fine arts high-school, in which she
continued doing ballet. As a teenager she was obsessed with perfection,
and
for the most part lived off of lettuce. She never thought she had a
problem,
or that she was sick. She told herself the dizziness and lack of
menstruation meant she was pure, pure and beautiful. She attended
Juliard
after high school, getting to a relatively healthy weight due to
recovery
and hospitalization(enough to get her 'cycle' back), and falling in
love for
the first time.
She lost her virginity to him, when she was 19,But she told him she
didn't
love him, because she didn't want anything coming between her and her
dancing. He said he couldn't stay there and see her, knowing she lied
to
him, and that he was leaving. Before she could catch him, he was gone.
She soon discovered she was pregnant.
She
couldn't decide whether or not she was going to keep it, but she had a
miscarraige, so she didn't have to. The doctor said
her body couldn't handle a child, and that's why it happened. She felt
bad,
but she graduated from Juliard, and for awhile was a 'professional'
ballet
dancer, She realized she wanted to settle down, so she got a job, first
teaching ballet to children, and now
at Dumont. She loves kids, and is really good with them. But she's also
a
perfectionist, and she tries to act as if she doesn't care that she's
never
been married, and only been in love once, and that she ruined that
chance.
