PLEASURE

A Poem by David Arredondo

One day I was going on the experience of a lifetime. My way of relaxing is mainly different than most people. “Hunting” I have always adored the sport of killing desolate alone critters. So I am hunting and I come along a wounded small baby bird as the desolate one was lying there flapping around trying to take flight I think to myself perhaps he is in need of help, no, no, oh, no he was merely playing a game of I want the hunter to take my half beaten body and ram it down the barrel of an enormous potato gun. And yes I did grant the small ones wish. As I was protruding the baby bird frame down into the barrel there were little feathers fluttering everywhere and all over the ground. As I launched the baby bird 3 and one half feet into the air into a Gigantic Californian Tree. And there is a light thud up against the tree and now the little flying device is now all mushy almost as if his boned have turned into just worthless cart ledge. Four days later, I come up to the bird again while it was eating. It was swollen and food was falling out of his mouth, he was eating baby maggots. Just out of sheer kindness I take the baby bird as if it was my own and washed it off and took a cheese grader and pushed it up and down and up and down as pieces. Meat chunks flying into a cup……… This is pleasure as I see it. May joy, peace, and love be with you!!
