Dearly Departed: Rising out of the ashes of bands such as Subtonix, Antioch Arrow, Heroin, and the still very alive Holy Kiss, come the Dearly Departed. Featuring Jessy Panique on bass and vocals, Matty Rue Morgue on slide guitar and vocals, and Aaron Montaigne on drums, these 3 bring together a mix of dark, trashy rock and roll with a melancholy hiss of the romantic malcontent ballad thrown in. The sound of the bluesy slide guitar and somber dual vocals with strip-to-the beat drums rings reminiscent of the Honeymoon in Red collaboration of Roland Howard and Lydia Lunch but with the punk appeal of the likes of X in the attendance of a graveyard stomp on a torch singer's grave...
