Desirable Concession Stand is a Kid A project. A long time ago in a land called Mendota High School, Kid A fell in love with rock, (grunge and punk rock), to be exact. And with that love of music came the passion to play music. Kid A quickly began to tinker with the guitar. After mastering the guitar in a matter of a year, Kid A put together his first band. Recruitng two guitarists who went to the same highschool. "Snaggle Tooth" James was assigned to play drums and Mayday was assigned bass duties. This band that made raw punky grungey songs, with a twist of lemon and pop, never settled on a name, and in a matter of months, died. Although the creative chemistry was there, personalities clashed amongst all three and the band could not be salvaged. Really, Kid A and "snaggle tooth" James could not habitate the same space without arguing, leading to the demise of the band. Some songs from this doomed band are now desirable concession stand songs.
Mayday and "snaggle tooth" James would later find themselves in another band together down the line. Although the band they were in, A.S.U ( A simple Unit) only played one show and disbanded on behalf of the lead singer finding religeon.
Kid A went into his lair for over a year crafting the beautiful songs that would be desirable concession stands debut Ep "My Place of Recovery". After the long vacation, Kid A emerged with a new thought on life and music. He quickly recruited a band to bring his creations to life. Calling on the services of long time friends from the band Valio, The Tourist and Station and old bandate Mayday, Desirable Concession Stand hope to take music farther then they ever had before, on to the radio into your ears and maybe someday hopefully, into your hearts.
