Assalamu alaykum,
Concerning your question of going to the mosque for a woman, we recommend you
ask the scholars on which hadeeth it says that woman get more blessing staying
at home because we are not knowledgeable in this field. You could ask some of
them from the following Fatwa Hotlines:
http://www.IANAnet.org/fatwa/general.html
http://www.wamy.co.uk/fatwa.html
http://www.islam-qa.com/
http://islam.org:81/Imam/default.htm
However, from what we do know is that it is true that it is better for women to pray at home but at the same time there is no hadeeth that forbide women from going. In fact one hadeeth stated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said not to prevent women from going to the mosques. Depending on who you put forward your question to, the strict Muslim will say to the effect that women should never go to the mosque (or even step out of the house). They put forward the argument that Aishah (may Allah be please with her) said that if the Prophet (peace be upon him) knew what the women were doing in the mosque then he will not allow them to go. On the other hand, the moderate Muslim will say that if you want to go then you can go. Their argument concerning what Aishah (mAbpwh) said, is that Aishah is giving her opinion and it cannot negate what the Prophet said. Moreover, Aishah's opinion is based on her knowledge of her own time but the Prophet (pbuh), who was given permission to see some of the future, could have utter these words because he knew in future that men will prevent women from attending mosque.
Insha Allah, we hope we have help you in some way. If you if any other questions you like to discuss please feel free to do so. We are happy to answer you if we can.
May Allah strengthen your iman and grant you success in the world and in the
Hereafter.
Wa salam.
