- Daniel Radcliffe, ‘Surprised by Fame’
-
- Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry
Potter on the big screen, says nothing could prepare him for the
press attention he's received as star of the film.
-
- "I knew it was going
to be big, but not that big," he told Newsround's Lizo Mzimba.
-
- "Within 20 minutes
of the announcement being made the press were outside my
house."
-
- 'Just like our
characters'
-
- Despite the pressures of
the press and the secret filming, Daniel says all three of the lead
characters got on brilliantly:
-
- "We all get along
really well because we 're like our characters. Ron's very funny,
Hermione is very intelligent and I'm in between.
-
- "The characters are
compatible and we are too."
-
- Quidditch fan
-
- And like many fans of JK
Rowling's wizarding books, Daniel loved the Quidditch scene:
-
- "The Quidditch match
is cool. Everyone whizzing around and everyone cheering in the
stands. It was really fun."
-
- Second film
-
- Potter fans may all be
eagerly awaiting the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's
Stone, but Daniel's already looking forward to filming the sequel.
-
- "The second book is
my favourite. I love the dark storylines of the Basilisk - that I'm
really looking forward to killing!
-
- "But there's also
the lighter storylines of Colin Creevey, Dobby, Ginny Weasley."
