old news

clearly, this is the old news...

11/07/2003:

Our live streaming appearance on EvolvingArtist.com went incredibly well. Thanks to Seth and Derek for hooking that up and to our pals in Sumo for coming down to the studio to check us out.

Immediate plans now are to head back to the C2 Recordings studio with Matt Cole and finish our first full-length album.

Who knows what 2004 may hold for Bastille... a tour? marriage? international relocation? stick around and see.

thanks to everyone for making 2003 so good.

Saturday, August 30th at the WAG in Worcester, ALL AGES with Deny Everything, Curtain Society and more.

Thursday, September 4th at Ralph's in Worcester, with 9-Volt Superhero and more. 21+

(5/28)Things are getting really nice for Bastille. Harris has returned safely from Southern Africa (with a few tricks up his sleeve) and Jeremy just can't stop buying musical gear. This summer officially kicks off with the band's first "real" show at the Lucky Dog Music Hall, opening for techno pioneers Colorblind, with Drilling 3s, Car Crash Show, and Ignazio. Bastille begins making noise at 9pm. This is kind of a big show for us so please, come support!

Saturday, May 31st - Lucky Dog Music Hall (Green Street), Worcester, MA with Ignazio, Drilling 3s, Car Crash Show (from Boston). Bastille @ 9pm 21+

(4/23/03) It's been a month, and Bastille is still rockin'. Rave reviews are coming in on the 3-song demo, and we finally have some shows lined up:

Tuesday, April 29th - Bar Fly (main street by Clark University), Worcester, MA 10pm 21+

Saturday, May 31st - Lucky Dog Music Hall (Green Street), Worcester, MA with Ignazio, Drilling 3s, Car Crash Show (from Boston). Bastille @ 9pm 21+

EMAIL US - bastille@excite.com - for a FREE demo!

expect to hear some new tunes at the shows, too. Harris leaves for another pilgrimage -- this time for Namibia, in southern Africa -- May 3rd, so this Tuesday at Bar Fly may be your last chance ever to see Bastille!!! (just kidding, he'll be back May 17th)

peace and love

rob, harris, jeremy

(03/24/03) It's been a whirlwind of activity since I last updated. The demo is done and now available, just drop us an e-mail and we will send you one. It's free. I think the demo came out really well and I am looking forward to returning to the studio to parlay our efforts into an album, as is now the plan. Our many thanks to Matt Cole at C2. In other news we went to see Cave-in the other night and Jeremy was inspired to go shopping. We have added many fancy noise machines to the arsenal and can't wait to rock out with the new toys. That's all for now, Jeremy is still single... do with that info what you may... peace, rob

(2/19/03) Harris has returned from a pilgrimage to New Mexico and we are ready to rock once more. Tommorow night (2/20/03) we will play at K-rae's in Webster. It's a wormtown-esqe gig but we get a half hour set. After that we return to the fabulous C2 studio to finish the EP, which is coming out great, thanks for asking. The Chicago plans are still up in the air, but we are confident it will work out for us. That's all the news that fits for now... I'm thinking about getting a bass overdrive pedal... rob

(1/21/03) So, hope you all had as much fun at the Wormtown as we did. The Dog looks great since the renovations. Bastille is heading into the studio in early February to complete the demo, which is starting to look more like an ep. Hey that's cool with me. After that we will be hitting the road with the mighty Fiesel again for a couple of dates that should take us to Chicago and back. More on that as it unfolds. We are working on some new songs, and I’m working on some new shirts and what have you. It’s a great time to be in a rock and roll band. Its bitter cold out there, take care of your selves...

(12/25) merry christmas. Bastille is preparing for the jan 15th wormtown wednesday, where we will be rockin' the house. also, we are working on some possible boston gigs for the mean time in-between time. i'll be seeing you all in the new year... Bastille... you've been warned...

(12/2) we are working on the demo but have put it on temporary hold as we prepare for some upcoming live dates. first up is the show with Fiesel on december 15th. this is at Johnson State College, in Johnson VT. should be a blast. next up is our second appearance at the lucky dog for wormtown wednesday on january 15th. by then we should have demos and MP3s on the site for your listening pleasure.

(11/17) the Wormtown gig was a great success. a big thanks to Blank Tradition, Snakes and Ladders, Impaled Milk, No Son of Mine, all the other bands that played, and the guy who bought our shirt. people seemed to dig us and we had a great time rockin' for you all. we made some really good connections, especially Dan from Fiesel, who gave us all free (really good) CDs and is hooking us up with a show. more info on that as we get it, in the mean while check out their site. and while your at it, why not read the review of the show... oh and for the record we are not a clark u. band... popular misconception...

(10/13)Bastille will be playing at the Lucky Dog on Nov. 13th. this is a Wormtown Wednesday. also gracing the stage that night will be the debut of No Son of Mine. No Son.. is the brain child of my good buddy Jason Feifer. Jason writes catchy pop-guitar tunes and hails from the same town that spawned new found glory and dashboard. the only difference is Jason doesn't suck. anyway the show is free, and has ten bands, here's the link...

(9/25/02) we played a show at Trance Buhhda this past saturday and had a blast. forgot to thank the other bands while on stage(duh), let me take this oppertunity to shout-out Caleb, SkyCuttingStars, Dexter, and the Chase Scene, all really great. also, thanks to all our friends (and new friends) who came out to see us, hope to see ya'll again soon...
