| Kris's wrestling career stems back to his original days in Japan. He started out wrestling under the alias of "Suicydal" for an up and coming promotion out of Japan years back. He was contacted by one of his few friends in the states, and began working under that promotion with the same alias. He then won his first World Heavyweight Title in that federation until it came to an untimely close. Kris traveled from promotion to promotion working dates until he was offered a contract in the USWA. He then joined the USWA and carried the Hardcore Title for a few months. Kris's stable mate was shafted out of his Heavyweight Title, and because of his friendship, was also shafted out of his Hardcore Title. Days after that happened, both men quit the federation and went into retirement. Kartier then began his own promotion with the same friend and was Vice President of Operations. It was open for two months until swollen heads took over and the federation closed. It was then about two years since he has wrestled in any promotion, until he came into contact with Richard Cormier, an ally turned enemy he had made during a run in a former federation. Kris joined the original AWA and vowed to make Cormier's life a living hell as he ran through the ranks of the federation. At the age of 37, Kris feels like he still has some gas in that tank of his, and feels like he can be successful in giving wrestling one last chance. As we speak he is once again signing his life away on that devious dotted line... |
| Kris Kartier has changed drastically since aligning himself with Richard Cormier. The "Insurance Policy" is in, while the old "Nyghtmare" attire has completely been thrown out the window. The cut off jean shorts, stringy hair, sleeveless t-shirts, and unshaven face are all things of the past. As a matter of fact, if it wasn't for the tattoos and scars throughout his body, you might just think he isn't the same person at all. Kris now wrestles in a different pair of iron-free dress slacks. When he is out there in a non wrestling capacity, he wears a pair of shiny dress shoes matching whichever outfit he is wearing at that time. When in the ring, he still wears his dress slacks, however, changes his shoes to a pair of wrestling boots to accomodate the proper footing inside the ring. He comes to ringside wearing expensive dress shirts, collar up, in a variety of different colors. As the match begins he removes his shirt, exposing his MANY scars and tattoos, neatly folds it, and hands it to the ringside help to make sure it is stays in proper care as his match begins. Kartier's hair no longer drapes over his face, as he now sports a "fade" haircut. He has decided to shave every bit of facial hair he has had completely off, making him looks years younger then he actually is. Kartier is always very clean looking, something the AWA fans have never seen from this man before. The only thing that has not changed is the fact that he still goes no where without his Singapore Cane Wrapped in Barbed-Wire. |
| As his music blairs over the loud speaker, Kartier slowly walks out to the reaction to the crowd. He stops at the top of the entranceway and raises his singapore cane high in the air. Methodically, Kartier walks towards the ring, slides under the bottom rope, and makes his way towards the corner of the ring. He scans the crowd one last time, steps on the middle rope and once again raises his cane to a reaction from the crowd. |
