Guyanese
electronics expert reaches U.S.
Hall of Fame GUYANESE Dr Nandalall Sukhdeo has been inducted into the National Electronics Industry Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Nevada, United States (U.S.).
He
was one of the youngest inductees at the time of the last July 19
function. Sukhdeo
is a member of the American Society of Certified Engineering
Technicians (ASCET) and the National Association for Radio
Telecommunication Engineers (NARTE). Formerly
of Vryheid, West Canje, Berbice, he attended Trinity Primary School,
Berbice High School and New
Amsterdam Technical Institute,
where he studied radio, television and electronics. After
migrating to the U.S. in 1989, Sukhdeo continued studies in the
electronics field and secured a Doctorate degree in Electronics
Engineering and a Masters degree in management information systems. In
1996, he was presented with a Master of Communication technology
award in Dallas, Texas and is certified in 13 different aspects of
electronics. Sukhdeo
was presented with the technician award at the National Professional
Service Convention in Reno, Nevada, in 1999, the same year he was
elected as a New York State representative for Electronic
Technicians Association International. He
has more qualifications in video engineering from London Institute
and satellite communication from the British Institute of
Electronics Engineering. Sukhdeo
has authored several publications on electronics technology and
engineering and is currently employed with New York City Transit
