

CARICOM endorses Shahabuddeen's candidacy for international court
The candidature of Mohamed Shahabuddeen for election to the
International Court of Justice has been endorsed by the CARICOM
Foreign Ministers.

According to a Caribbean Community (CARICOM) communique, which was issued by the CARICOM Secretariat, Shahabuddeen's candidature was endorsed at the recently concluded Sixth Meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community Relations, which was held in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The attending Ministers, which included Guyana's Foreign Minister Rudy Insanally, upheld Shahabuddeen's candidature for election during the 60th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2005
