Because of the corrections to the pages titled GODFROY – WEA CONNECTION and CORRECTION TO GENEALOGICAL FILE OF THE BOOK we have also had to go back and correct many other lines that stem from the ones we have already corrected on the two pages mentioned.
These corrections have resulted in long hours with much attention paid to details. The work has been corrected, but because of the extensive Godfroy gedcom file it will be impossible to list all the lineages and corrections here on the website, it would simply just take up way too much space.
Many of the lineages corrected in this file are not Indian at all and only French due to the discovery of the original Couc/Couck lineage being French. Other lines have proven to be Kaskaskia Indian and not Wea, and some lines are now only Miami Indian with no Wea blood. Please keep in mind that NOT everyone in these lines with these surnames have no Indian blood; this only applies to some of them in certain direct lineages. While we realize this is very confusing we are trying to keep the public up-to-date as best as we can.
Some of the lines that have now (January 4, 2006) been changed and corrected include: Jacques Shocco Godfroy; Francis Polonzwah Godfroy; Gabriel Waponnohkeeap Godfroy; Gabriel Godfroy Jr. and Assosongquah Godfroy.

In the future there will be an updated version of this book "Volume-II Genealogy" printed and published, hopefully in 2015 or 2016, but until then lets make the corrections to these lineages known to the public so that they may correct their family lineage and history.
