In no particular order

Saajan Saajan in the film, Dil Ka Rishta which stars Aishwariya Rai and Arjun Rampal. Resons I like this song because its catchy (other then the beginning) and in its words include a negative and positive perspective of love, which is not that easy to find.

Strings is a Pakistani band who's recent songs from the last two albums are great. My favourites are Mera Bichara Yaar, Dhaani, Najanea Kyu and Sohniyea from their most recent albums. Dhaani is a great album, all of the songs are good, but it seems to me that some are more great then others.

  1. - Mera Bichara Yaar...I have no idea why I like that one, mayb its the singer's voice? Maybe its a feeling that is felt by everyone.

  2. - Dhaani..likewise...it could be because its nice to listen to...?

  3. - Najanea Kyu...I love...its true, nobody knows why things happen and "Yaadon Ka Phir Achal Ura" (roughly translated, the scarf of memories flew again) and it does happen to me, late at night, I remember so many sad memories, which I know I cannot do anything about, but its unavoidable.

  4. - Sohniyae is very catchy and the clip is funny. Also, its a different to what the singer in this song sings. My baby cousin used to love it, and whenever it came on..."Na Na Na" would escape form his lips.

Shehzad Roy is another talented singer, who has a very deep voice, which surprised me as it didn't suit the image of him when I first saw him. Mukra, Zindagi, Bhul Ja and Kangna are my favourites that I can remember right now.

  1. - Mukhra, cause the voice is nice, and the way he just describes in the song, is very different to others. This combined with his voice and the instruments (guitar and tabla) make it a great song to listen to. I am hoping to use this for myself when I get married, which who knows when will be.

  2. - Zindagi, is about less fortunate children and their education. Mr. Roy has actually starteda charity that pays children to go to school, and they get more money if they do their homework. There's a link in a sub page for the actual website.

  3. - Bhul Ja, I said I was a fan of sad songs. But not also this, but the guitar playing person (who I am sure is a permamnent partner of Mr. Roy but plays under the name Shehzad Roy)  perhaps uses a different technique of oplaying the guitar, then a suden stop which enforced the abrupt shock of not having someone?

  4. - Kangna is a remix I downloaded not long ago. Its one of Mr. Roy's old songs. I like the words and the music even though it does seem old and not so "in" anymore.

Josh is a candian band. And they are absolutely great. What else can I say? The new album, Kabhi is so good. So far I have downloaded Khushi, Meri Nazar, Main Hoon Tanha...all three are beautiful songs, that I can just relate to when I am down. The lyrics are so meaningful and sang so beautiful, that I wish I could stand on a high place and listen to this music blasting through my head at full volume with the wind and rain and nature blasting at me. All three songs are described like that, and with it the music that can be classified as pop but is just great music make it, the best song that can stay up with Savage Garden in the whole catergory of meaningful and simple beautiful.

Falguni Pathak is an Indian singer, my favourite is Mere Payal Hai Chan Kaee, but she also did a duet with Bombay Vikings which is also nice. She has a really nice voice and seems to be natural for the television. To me, it seems that she would be comfortable in wearing pants and shirt type clothes rather then doll up for the camera. She also has a lot of other great songs, so check them out as well.

Sajjad Ali...also a great singer. Most known for his song Cinderella, But I like Paniyon Mein and Pyar Kaha Bikta Hai.

  1. - Paniyon Mein has great words, which dont refer to anything at all but is still great. "Jo kabhi Milte Nahi Hain, MIl Bhi Jaatae Hain Kahi Par, Na milo to Ghum Nhai hain" Its got great saying that are random but mean so much. It could be that it seems random to me.

  2. - Told you I am a fan of sad songs..in his album, The Best Of Sajjad Ali also has another song, which is sad, cant say form the top of my memory though.
