Model Rocket Page

I used to do alot of model rocket stuff but as a kid in elementary school a 1.50 is alot for 1 engine. I started building my own rockets in elementary and junior high learned alot about aerodynamics like how even though the X-29 can fly with forward swept wings dosen't mean that it will work on a rocket held together with Elmers glue.  The craziest rocket I ever made came about after I heard about the venturi effect.  Hey, more for nothing right?..... I probably should have listened better.  Anyway, I still have a few and I am thinking of getting a few more to play with.  The rockets themseleves dont cost too much it is the engines.  Buck fifty was what they cost 8 years ago.  Now they are really, expensive.

My friend and I have astrocams, which take photos from 1000ft. The camera takes the photo in the direction of the nosecone, so to get a picture of the ground the rocket has to be inverted.  The ejection charge releases the shutter, since it takes time for the rocket to turn over and point down C6-5 and C6-7 engines are used.  C6-5 has a 5 second delay and most of the time takes the pictue at an angle. The C6-7 takes the picture facing staight down most of the time.  The trick to good pictures is getting the rocket to go up as striaght as possible

Here are the photos that turned out.
