"History of Lawrence, Orange and Washington Co.'s, Indiana" Goodspeed Bros. and Co., 1884 Z. T. WILLIAMS, the seventh son in a family of fourteen children, was born February 8, 1847. His parents, G. G. and Lucy (Kern) Williams, were natives of Tennessee and Kentucky, the former coming with his father, Isaac, to Indiana at a very early day. Z. T. Williams has always considered Lawrence County his home, for here he was reared, educated, and April 19, 1871, married Miss Sarah J. Witsman. He selected farming as his life's vocation, and by industry and good management has secured a valuable farm of 231 acres. He is a Republican in politics; favors the advancement of all laudable public enterprises; he and wife belong to the Christian Church, and are the parents of four children, whom they have named Everett B., Walter G., Volney M. and Lawrence Edward.
