Lissavaran

Far to the south of Mori, in the lands of grey mist, it is said that there lives a mysterious humanoid race shrouded in mystery.  The lands of these people are closed to travelers, and strangers who attempt to pass through regardless often disappear.  Though few of their kind travel afar, they, like every other race, occasionally produce adventurers.  It is from these few individuals that the world knows of Lissavarans.

All Lissavarans have the strange ability to manipulate the order of space; this is thought by most to be the result of powerful magic known only to the Lissavarans, which presumably all of their adventurers have mastered before leaving the land.  A few non-Lissavarians remain unconvinced, suggesting some sort of innate racial trait, or a compact with dark forces that fuels this ability.  The scarcity of Lissavarians and the determination with which they guard this secret prevents these theories from being better than wild guesses.  Lissavarans go so far as to shroud their faces and cover every inch of skin when in the presence of strangers or when not in their native lands.  Their eyes and hair invariably appear to be some shade of grey, ranging from nearly white to nearly black.
