EIGHTHLINGS

• +2 Dexterity, –2 Strength.

• Eighthling base land speed is 30 feet.
• +1 racial bonus on Climb, Jump, and Move Silently checks.
• +1 racial bonus on all saving throws.
• +1 racial bonus on saving throws against fear. Racial bonuses stack.
• +2 racial bonus on Listen checks.
• Halfling Blood:  An eighthling is a humanoid with both the human and halfling subtypes.  If a situation arises wherein the two are in conflict (such as a magic item with unique effects for each race), the eighthling counts as a human.
• Automatic Languages: Common and Halfling. Bonus Languages: Dwarven, Elven, Gnome, Goblin, and Orc.
• Favored Class: Rogue. A multiclass eighthling’s rogue class does not count when determining whether she takes an experience point penalty for multiclassing.

As halflings and humans intermix more and more, some descendants of mixed ancestry, or half-halflings, have occurred.  While these generally take after one parent or the other, the descendents of those with mixed halfling and human heritage often have unique traits, neither entirely human nor halfling.  Half-half-halflings, these are often jokingly referred to as Eighthlings, and the name has stuck.

All eighthlings are human-sized.  They appear to be humans except for their youthful, childlike features, which are most notable in their faces.  Despite this appearance, they age normally as humans do.
