Medium: As Medium creatures, Aruntar have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Extraplanar: Aruntar are not native to the Prime Material Plane.
Aruntar claim to be perfect humans, and hail from some far-off demiplane. While they have many advantages, which they call their blessings, in being superior to humanity at nearly everything, an Aruntar's idealization of himself is what he is, and when under pressure or faced with failure, any loss of confidence on his part is quick to lead to disaster. In addition, although Aruntar have an undeniable force of personality, the overweening arrogance of Aruntar does not endear them to most humans, or other races that cannot put up with such attitudes. Many an Aruntar has acted in total security of his own abilities, only to be utterly destroyed by the one thing he overlooked in his calculations.
For some reason, all known Aruntar encountered in Mori are male. Aruntar all have at least one "perfect" detail about their appearances, be it flawless skin, impeccably groomed hair, straight and pearly teeth, or some other aspect. In general, this causes them to be vain and self-centered.
A few sages that are willing to speculate on the matter suggest that Aruntar are not, in fact, truly human, but are some sort of other-planar race made from the stuff of humanity, just as fire elementals are made of fire and archons are composed of the essence of goodness. Other sages ridicule the notion of humanity having any single sort of essential nature on a level with primal elements.
