The Carroll County Garden Club is sponsoring the 17th annual Carroll County Flower and Garden Fair on Saturday, April 27, 2013, 10 a.m.to 3 p.m. in the Merchants Building at the Flora Community Park, Flora, Indiana. Vendors will sell vegetable, herb, and flower plants along with hanging baskets, alpine plants, garden and wood art, and other garden related items. Carroll County Parks will offer grilled pork burgers and drinks. There will be random door prizes. The Carroll County Garden Club and Purdue Extension Carroll County will host a gardening Question & Answer booth. The popular “People’s Choice Garden Photo Contest” will be held again this year. In the 4-H Building, there will be two educational speakers: Megan M. Benage, Rural Conservationist , Tippecanoe County Soil and Water Conservation District, will present “Native Flowers, Treasure in Your Lawn & Landscape,” at 10:30 a.m. and Purdue Extension will guide us through “Dry Weather Gardening” at 12:30 pm.
