We Need A New House

Hello! I am glad you came for a visit. Pull up a chair and sit back to read our family's story. I am sooo frustrated about now. We bought our property thirteen years ago and built our house with a combination of new, old and mobile home. Our living room was flooded out and we have not been able to rebuild it so it's closed off. Our roof has started leaking in our dining room and two of the bedrooms we built. The floor in our older mobile home has some weak spots. This is just to give you background. We have sized this up and down, inside, out and backwards. If we build a new roof, gut the rooms and redo them we have to excavate our hill behind the house so it stays in good condition. The excavation will run around $2500, the roof around $8000 and to redo the rooms $6000. We would get most of it done with a home equity loan. And the total being $21,500 with our two minor mortgages rolled into this loan. And down the road we would more than likely have to do even more. The other way to go would be to get a modular. Meaning take all of what we have now out, reset the footers for the modular and put the modular in place. Depending on what size we are talking anywhere from $45,000 to $85,000. Now comes the complicated part. My husband is disabled, my youngest is hearing impaired so our income is limited on that end. The good part is that I have been self-employed for almost four years. Drawback, I didn't start really making any money until almost a year ago. On top of which we filed bankruptcy and it was finalized in October of last year. What this means is that no loan company will probably touch us so it's up to us to come up with the money. If I knew the roof would last through this coming winter I wouldn't be so worried. I am also working on another income along with putting a cookbook together for cooking wild meats (watch this website for more information) but if you can spare $1 or $2 it would sure be appreciated.
