******WELCOME TO THE HQ.19TH HSSD-INDIANA****** ----------------------------------------------------- Also the Temp Home of the 17th HSSD-Ohio ----------------------------------------------------- We are a VOLUNTEER Quasi-Military Organization in the service of our Nation. We are comprised of Veterans and Non-Veterans alike, all of Patriotic like minds. And the will to make our homes and our Nation as safe as possible. Similar to that of our sister orgainzations in scope and struture like the USCG Aux and the Civil Air Patrol, we are an Army based Civil Affairs organization, non-for profit. The 19th HSSD is commanded by a General Officer, and reports directly to the Commandant of the USAVHSSC. I would invite you to look at the Home Web site for the USNDFSCOM and USAVHSSC. If your interested in joining and have the will to make a difference when needed, and can spare 8 hours a month in unformed training, then apply for one of our programs Commissioned or Warrant or Enlisted. Our training centers on Emerency Services as an Augmentation when requested, through FEMA and Red Cross courses. And like our sister services, we can do Search and rescue, and a number of other things when needed to do so.
