and friends in rememberance of our beloved Kenny

I Love You Kenny
By: Melinda Elpers (1997)

I hear the thunder pounding,
I don't know where to go.
I feel so empty inside,
From head to toe.

You were such a happy person,
There was always a smile on your face.
But now you're gone,
You've left without a trace.

It's not the same anymore,
Now that you're gone.
It hurts my heart,
Thinking of your favorite song.

I LOVE YOU
And I always will.
I LOVE YOU
I can't sit still.

I know you're up in heaven,
Watching down on us.
I just wish I could hug you,
It's definately a must.

You are still alive in my heart,
But you can not be seen.
So, I can just look
At your picture and dream.

But I do know,
Someday we'll be together.
And when that comes,
It'll last forever!!

Rainbows
By Gena Hulsey

After a long day of dreamy rains,
the sun finally comes out.

A big, bright, beautiful, and strong
rainbow comes out with it.

Although it is strong, it slowly loses strength,
and dies, leaving the sun behind to shine.

Now, I look forward to the day
when the rainbow and sun will be one,
and shine together forever.

This poem is for my brother.
May God always be with him.

By: Jenny Kemper (1996)

Do you know how it feels to be so close to a person,
that you know what they are feeling?
Know what they are thinking?

Now, say that person gets sick and is dying.

Now what do you feel? It feels like you are
dying inside. Someone is cutting out your feelings
slowly and painfully.

Soon you will be empty inside, and
you won't feel anything.

Soon all the pain and suffering will be gone,
lost in the wind.

Pain
By: Jenny Kemper (1996)

Pain is everywhere.
Pain is in every life.
Even if you haven't experienced any pain yet,
you will soon.

Pain can be a break-up, or losing
someone close to you.
It can be someone close getting sick or hurt.

I feel pain and loss everyday.

Why does there have to be pain?

I'm Free
By: Anonymous

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took his hand when I heard him call.
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day to laugh,
to love, to work and play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found that place at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full, I've shared much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undo grief.

?Where?
By: Jenny Kemper (1997)

I can hear him laugh and play,
But, he is no where in sight.

I can see his face and smile,
but, then it fades.

I can hear him scream in pain,
But, I can't find him.

What is happening?
Am I going insane?

I can see him and hear him,
But, I can't find him.  It's like he's hiding.

But he's not.

He's gone,
Gone forever!
