The 2000 baseball team got off to a good start with a 14 to 1 win. In the first inning the trojans started out strong scoring 5 runs en route to the 5-inning shortend contest due to the 10 run rule. Michael went 4 innings giving up 4 hits. Michael (1-0) also went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI's at the plate. "We were glad to finally get the season on the way. I am happy with our overall performance. I am looking forward to our Tuesday contest with Terre Haute South. We have 4 games coming up against some really good competition. This upcoming week we will see what we are made of. Head Coach Michael Gasaway said." Also, some of the days top performers at the plate were John (2 for 4)hitting a 2-run homerun in the 1st inning. John Mark went 2 for 3 with a double and 3 runs scored for the Trojans. Blake came in the 5th inning to finish off Oakwood(0-3) with 2 strikeouts.
