To Change the Current Hole: Click the
arrows below Hole to change the current hole. You can use this at any time to view
any hole. |
To Change Par for the Current Hole: Click
the arrows below Par to increase or decrease par for the current hole. |
The Pieces of the Course: There are
six(6) building blocks to creating a course. The first two(2) are the pin and the
tee, which are the bare minimum needed to create a hole. These two pieces are
automatically added to each hole but you can place them wherever you'd like by clicking on
them once to pick them up and again to put them down. The final four(4) pieces are
the green/fairway, sand trap, water hazard and tree. To add any of these click on
the corresponding button and the piece should be added in the upper left hand corner of
the hole. You can then move its position the same way you move the tee and pin by
clicking on it once to pick it and then again to put it down. The size of these
pieces can also be changed, except for the tree, unlike the tee and pin by simply dragging
over the piece to want to enlarge or shrink. |
Course Options: There are three(3)
different course variables you can set which will add even more diversity to your course. Terrain sets the type of surface on which your course is built
(country/grass, dessert/sand, island/water, space/nothing), Wind
sets the amount of wind on the course and Weather sets the
environment of the course. |
To Load a Course: To edit a course
you've already created there are two(2) ways to do it. The first is to click the
Load Course button and copy the <applet> tag and all the <param> tags from
your course page html into the box followed by clicking the Load button below it.
The second way is to copy the <applet> tag and all the <param> tags from your
course page html into a separate course editor page. In the <applet> tag
change class="Linx.class" to class="LinxBldr.class", making sure
LinxBldr.class is in the same directory as the course editor page, and open the page with
your browser. |
The Applet Tag: When you are pleased
with your course click the Applet Tag button and place the html that appears in the box
into the html of the page on which you want your course to appear. Make sure the
Linx.class file is in the same directory as the page. |
