  Greetings and Welcome to the home page of #40+Trivia2001! We will try to give you some idea of what we are about and who we are, and by doing so, hopefully tempt you to join us. Our founder is Bejon who wanted a channel where you're greeted when you enter and not ignored. A place where all are made to feel welcome and part of the group. Since Bejon is addicted to Trivia, she decided to make it a Trivia channel catering to people over 40 but open to all ages. We pride ourselves on being the friendliest people on IRC. Unlike most channels... we are not a "clique". Just a simple group of fun-loving, chatty folks who would love to make you feel at home and include you in the game and the fun we have. You can find us on Sandnet. We opened our first channel in December, 2000. We grew quickly and now have many regulars. The channel was called #40+Trivia. In early 2001, we changed to #40+Trivia2001, which is a little different than #40+Trivia. In 2001, you earn random point values rather than one point for each correct answer. Additionally, you earn bonus points ranging from 50 to 1000. We try to have questions for all skill levels ranging from the very basic 2+2 to more difficult things like history, science, sports, technology, etc. We also have entertainment stuff like actors, movies, and music categories, along with dumb outdated laws that will hopefully tickle your funny bone. We invite you to submit any questions you'd like included in our database. No special format is required... we will do that. Also, if you would like us to add a link to your personal web page or any favorite sites you may have, let us know. Simply click on the "E-mail" button at the bottom of this page and send us your comments, suggestions, or any questions you want us to add. Most of our Ops and some of our regular users have chosen to include their pictures and a short bio in our Photo Gallery so you can get to know us a teensie bit.
