       16 Again
Yesterday I saw you
just around the corner from my house
You were smiling
And I knew
You must have been 
about 16 again.
My heart pounding furiously,
I came running to you 
with my arms outstretched
and I knew it was all a dream-
"Right now" was there waking me
So I screamed at the top of my lungs
                   How could you?
How could you take over my mind so 
easily and slowly mix into the topic of 
all my thoughts!!??
I must hold you...
But had I known 
you were so near to my heart then,
I might not have let you in
only to be torn away from me and have my 
heart beat on the cages of it's cell
Oh just one yesterday;
But it could never compare to the gift 
of tomorrows
If I wait just a little while,
I'll get them
You & Me...
And you don't have to be
               16 again.
