While standing doing dishes,
Or cooking each night's tea.
Wonderful scenes and aromas,
Do tantalize and tempt me.

The sunlight on bright flowers,
A rose's fragrant smell.
Are no doubt the same things,
You have experienced as well.

Yet the nicest part of any day,
Is when my chores are done.
And I sit and have a cuppa,
and share friendship with someone.
