Melbourne, Vict. as evening closes in
The country I love!
Have you seen the deep red sand.
Found in the deserts of our land?
Watched our Fairy Penguins.
Waddling to their nest?
Seen our coloured landscape
Which to me is the best!
MacDonnell Ranges, South Australia
Noticed flocks of budgies.
Flying with the dawn?
Know what size a Joey is
when its just been 'born'?
Viewed a Kangaroo 'surfing'.
At the break of day?
Even seen Dingos passing time.
That same way?
Uluru (Ayer's Rock), Central Australia
Come, stand on the bank,
of the old "Barcoo".
Maybe visit Oodnadatta?
or climb Uluru?
What about the Platypus
isn't that a wonderful sight.
Swimming up a river
At the onset of each night.
Meeting of Two Cultures, Northern Territory
Do Wild Flowers, Crocodiles,
Koalas, Parrots, more
Golden Beaches, Coral Reefs
: leave you filled with awe?
Then these are just
some of the sights
you are bound to see.
If you visit My Homeland
That's so wonderful and free.
Mottlecah blooms ~ Pale Eastern Rosella
There are feasts
for your eyes.
'Neath our stunning blue skies.
Tis a trip you should make
Without failure.
So repeat after me.
It's easy you see.
