The Current Tannahill Weavers Lineup:
The Tannahill Weavers are a Scottish group that performs internationally their selection of traditional Scottish folk songs, lively jigs, and toe-tapping reels. They made their first recording in 1976, and have since released thirteen albums (some of which are compilations) and are featured on a compilation disc of live Celtic music. Make no mistake; the Tannies are both talented and charming, drawing such comments as this one from Garrison Keillor, "These guys are a bunch of heroes every time they go on tour in the States." They have become accomplished throughout Europe and North America, having won the Scotstar Award for Folk Record of the Year with their third album, The Tannahill Weavers. They've brought joy into the lives of thousands over the years, and have proven themselves to be trailblazers for Scottish music all over the world.
