What is Practica X?

It is different way to combine an informal Tango class followed by a practica: 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

What do I get from Practica X?: 8:45

non-restriction on the style of dance.

a wide pool of knowledge from the instructor(s)

dance to golden age Tango music and nuevo tango

What is Nuevo Tango?
Nuevo Tango is not a style of dance, but knowledge itself. Deepen your understanding of tango and its structure, how bodies relate to the movement and its rhythm. Increase your knowledge in terms of leading and following while making your partner feel comfortable and at ease while dancing.

Pricing:

• $5.00 per person


Note: Participants can wear leather soled shoes, socks, or a non-gripping shoe.

A few facts about Tango dance in Calgary:

Joseph Bain introduced Argentine Tango in Calgary in 1997.

Dance instructors Dan Pitman and Miro began teaching Argentine Tango in Calgary in 1997.

Miguel Angel Pla became the first visitng Argentine Tango instructor in Calgary in April of 1998

The original club tango argentino was formed in 2000 at the Carpenters Hall in Calgary
