Last week of Nov02 I had to get a skin cancer cut out of my head again. This is the third time I have had it cut out of this area and am running out of skin :P This time it actualy went good, the hospital was great and the surgeon seems to have done a good job. I even got hooked up to the machine that goes BING! :P Oh, and my hair isn't bloody grey, its just the camera, sheesh :)

This will actually be my 8th bit cut out in the name of skin cancer. I have had a melanoma removed from my upper back twice, a suspected one from my lower back, two BCC's cut out of my forehead and a couple more burnt off with liquid nitrogen, and now these latest ones. And unfortunatly they wont be my last. I did some research and it only takes one incident to stuff you for life, mine was falling asleep on a raft when I was ten and waking up with huge blisters on my ankles. Another interesting thing I found was that in Queensland the 20-30 age group has the most deaths from skin cancer. Also this time I went to a special mole place that looks at your spots with a microscope computer thingy, and when I looked on the screen at the spot on my leg, it looked horrible and exactly like the pictures you see warning you about such things. Yet when I went to find it I couldnt, so when the doctor pointed out this small brown spot, I said that its only tiny, and he replied no, its normal size for a melanoma. I know I am susceptable to cancer yet I had seen this spot and not worried about it. Therefore I urge all aussies to go get a yearly check at one of those mole places. It only took 15 mins and was fully covered by medicare, and could save your life.
As for the people who have wished me luck and said nice things to me, THANKS!, its really appreciated :)
I got the bit cut out of my neck today (fri 18may). I got 8 stitches and he kept using the word huge when talking about it. And yes it bloody hurts :)
These were only taken with a crappy web cam, but you will get the idea.
