This is a review of the classic novel, Where The Red Fern Grows.
Smileyjay Says . . .
I have read this book ten times. I read it the first time when I was in 3'rd grade. It is a college level book and full of joy and beauty! It is also packed with yearning, suspense, action and drama. This book would be highly reccomended for someone with a heart that beats for love and family. It is a story about a child named Billy who lives in the Ozark Mountains. He finds that he wishes to have a good hunting hound and begs his father for one. His family is poor and they have no money for dogs. Billy finds himself struggling with sadness. He soons developes a plan to get his dogs and the rest is up to you to find out! Excellent reading, good for the soul.
I must give this book Five out of Five Smiles!!
