I went to my friend’s house one day for her birthday party. I had a lot of fun and it was a very sunny day. We went swimming after her party was over and we stayed for hours, because her mom was trying to get a tan while we were playing a water game. I accidentally fell into the water and hurt my hand and started to cry, but I got back in the water with every body else.
Two day’s later she had to go to Missouri to go live with her step dad for a year. Her mom and her brother went, too. I could tell that she was excited to go because she was very hyper.
That next morning when she left, her grandma started to cry, because the airplane ran out of fuel and it landed in water. One of the people on the airplane helped her and her mom and brother get on a little boat and get back home. They had to stay in the boat where it was freezing cold. When they did get home all of their family was there waiting for them. When they walked in the door everybody said “Welcome Home!” She couldn’t come out that day, because she had to visit with everybody.
She never wanted to go on a airplane again, because it was so scary for her. I wouldn't blame her because even though it didn’t happen to me I’d think it was really scary, because when you’re up in the air you can’t jump out.
Her grandma told me the story, so I wrote it down so I wouldn't ever forget. Now she is at home never thinking about going on a airplane ever again.

THE FLYING GIRL
Little girl up in the air.
Sometimes little, sometimes with red hair.
Up, up there they go,
Up in the air and sometimes down low.
They are very happy in a way,
Because they have just put on a wonderful play.

MOTORCYCLES
Men on motorcycles shooting though the air,
Sometimes they get very messy hair.
They go so fast down a hill,
Sometimes it even seems like a really big thrill.
Sometimes they’ll get a really big MEDICAL bill.
