Saché (played by 23-year-old actress Sofia Coppola) is
one of Queen Amidala's handmaidens. She was picked by
the Queen for her intelligence, fitness, courage,
patience and resemblance to her.
Saché is always seen wearing a hooded robe similar to
those worn by Rabé, Eirtaé, Sabé and Yané. She
received a training in bodyguarding and self-defense.
Saché, along with Yané, is one of the youngest
handmaidens at the Queen's service.
Because of her young age, she was left behind with
Yané when the Queen left Naboo with Rabé, Eirtaé and
Sabé. Amidala hoped they would be safe there, while
she was heading to Coruscant to plead her case before
the Senate.
