Rabé
Rabé (played by actress Karol Cristina da Silva) is,
with Eirtaé, the second most important handmaiden for
Queen Amidala. Very patient despite her young age,
Rabé is skilled in helping the Queen put on her many
elaborate gowns and in preparing her exotic
hairstyles, which can require several hours to
perfect.
She has been trained as a bodyguard. She carries a
small version of the royal blaster pistol, which she
can use to defend Amidala or herself in case of
danger.
Along with Sabé and Eirtaé, Rabé follows the Queen
wherever she goes, always wearing a hooded dress
similar to those of Sabé, Eirtaé, Yané and Saché.
Born and raised in a village on the planet Naboo, Rabé
was chosen as a handmaiden by Amidala herself when she
was elected Queen, a few months before the events of
The Phantom Menace took place.
When the Trade Federation army invaded their planet,
Queen Amidala, Rabé, Sabé and Eirtaé, with the help of
Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice, Obi-Wan
Kenobi, travelled to Coruscant, where Amidala wished
to plead Naboo's case before the Republic Senate.
Back on Naboo, Rabé fought along with Queen Amidala,
Eirtaé, Sabé, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Captain
Panaka and the Naboo soldiers in order to free the
planet from the Trade Federation.
