Anakin Skywalker
Anakin Skywalker is a 9 year old boy who lived
in Mos Espa, Tatooine. He is a slave to Watto
and works for him at his junkyard, because he
is so mechanically inclined.
Qui-Gon Jinn senses the FORCE is strong with him
and later asks Obi-Wan to check his midichlorians
and finds out that his count is the highest he's
ever seen (even higher than YODAS').
Anakin is the only human who can race pods, be-
cause of his Jedi like reflexes. He built his own
podracer, that he uses to help the Queen and the
two Jedi Knights, by betting on a podrace. Although
he didn't know it at the time he also won his
freedom from slavery by winning the race.
When Qui-Gon presents him to the Jedi Council,
they were reluctant to even see him. After they
do see him, yoda says that he will not be train-
ed. Yoda and the others sence that he might be
dangerous.
In Qui-Gons' dying words he asks Obi-Wan to train
him in the Jedi ways. Yoda reluctantly agrees to
let Obi-Wan train Anakin.
