THE CLEVELAND GATHERING
I have spoken with MerlCat (McG too) and Crazy as the only people who
are definitely attending. They will be arriving in Cleveland on Thursday afternoon and departing on Monday. LadyKate has started a
wonderful new job, and unfortunately won't be able to join us this
time. LadyAurian/Wildfire is hoping to be able to at least attend the Ren Fest and Hart0Gold and Dazzler are at least gonna try to get
together with us at some point during the weekend.
The three of us have been talking and have been throwing around a few
ideas. Our main plan was to attend the Ohio Renaissance Festival and
also to go to CedarPoint. With the long drive to the festival, we are throwing around the option of driving down Friday evening and spending the night close to the festival, visiting the festival on Saturday, then staying over again Saturday night and driving home Sunday. This would cancel out the amusement park.
Another option we have been debating was to attend the Michigan Renaissance Festival since none of us has been to that one, and it is
approximately the same distance from Cleveland as the Ohio Ren Fest.
However, Michigan doesn't allow weapons, and Ohio will let you take in your weapon as long as it is sheathed. Our thought was to attend the Michigan Festival on Saturday, spend the night near there and on the way home, attend Cedar Point on Sunday and head home around 8:00 p.m. or so. But with us in costume and not being able to take in a vital part of the costume, not sure if we want to do this.
And of course, the original plan, Cedar Point Friday evening, bumming on Saturday and the Ren Fest on Sunday (7-hour round trip) is also still an option. Probably not a good idea unless we drove down Saturday evening.
Another gathering come and gone. I really hate that they can't last longer. Had a great time, did Lolley the Trolley, the Ohio Ren Fest and King's Island all in one weekend. Boy are we good! Oh well . . . time to start planning the next one. We missed ya Katsie !!!!!!!
