1.1 The Amalekite, who brought tidings of the ouerthrow , and accused himselfe of Sauls death, is slaine.

1.17 Dauid lamenteth Saul and Ionathan with a song.

2.1 Dauid by Gods direction, with his companie goeth vp to Hebron, where he is made King of Iudah.

2.5 He commendeth them of Iabeth Gilead, for their kindnesse to Saul.

2.8 Abner maketh Ishbosheth king od Israel.

2.12 A mortall skirmish between twelue of Abners and twelue of Ioabs men.

2.18 Asahel is slaine.

2.25 At Abners motion Ioab soundeth a retreat.

3.1 During the warre Dauid still waxeth stronger.

3.2 Sixe sonnes were borne to him in Hebron.

15.1 Absalom, by faire speeches and courtesies, stealeth the hearts of Israel.
