The Prologue of the Wisdome of Jesus the sonne of Sirach.
1.1 All wisdome is from God.
1.10 He giueth it to them that loue him.
1.12 The feare of God is full of many blesings.
1.28 To feare God without hypoklcrisie.
2.1 Gods seruants must looke for trouble,
2.7 be patient, and trust him.
2.12 For woe to them that doe not so.
2.15 But they that feare the Lord, will doe so.

3.3 Children must honour, and helpe both their parents.
3.21 We may not desire to knowe all things.
3.26 The incorrigible must needes perish.
3.30 Almes are rewarded.
4.1 We may not despise the poore or fatherlesse,
4.11 but seeke for Wisdome,
4.20 and not be ashamed of some things, nor gainsay the trueth,
4.30 nor be a lyons in our houses.
5.1 Wee must not presume of our wealth and strength,
5.6 Nor of the mercie of God to sinne.
5.9 We must not be double tongued,
5.12 Nor answere without knowledge.

6.7 But make choise of a friend.
6.18 Seeke wisdeome betimes:
6.20 It is grieuous to some,
6.28 yet the fruits thereof are pleasant.
6.35 Be ready to heare wise men.
7.1 Wee are exhorted from sinne,
7.4 from ambition,
7.8 presumption,
7.10 and fainting in prayer:
7.12 from lying and backebiting,
7.18 and how to esteeme a friend:
7.19 A good wife:
7.20 a seruant:

8.1 Whom we may not striue with,
8.8 nor despise,
8.10 nor prouoke,

9.13 Not to be familiar with men in authority,
9.14 But to knowe our neighbours,
