RMI Climate

     The capital of Majuro averages a daily temperature of 81 degrees F (27 degrees C). The temperature usually falls during the heaviest rain showers which normally occurs during the day. Therefore, night-time temperatures average a few degrees higher than the day-time temperatures.

     The wettest time of the year on Majuro is September through November. The driest period is between January and March. During the rainy season, an average of 14 inches of precipitation a month may fall. During the dry season, only about 8 inches of precipitation will fall each month. Rainfall averages for all of the islands range from 20 inches a year in the northern islands to 160 inches a year in the southern region.

     Tropical storms can be very devastating, but are rare on the Marshalls.
