Chapter 6

  Nick and Cassie went back to the mall to look for the others. They found Howie and Sarah in a shop at the other end of the mall.

  "What happened? Where did you go?" Howie asked them as they walked down the mall looking for Kevin and Natasha.

  "Long story, let's go to lunch and we'll tell you." Nick told them all.

  "Here they are." Sarah said as they passed a store where Kevin and Natasha were looking.

  "Hey guys, let's go to lunch okay?" Nick asked.

  "Okay" they all said.

  They walked down to the food court and looked over the places to eat.

  "I want McDonald's"

  "I want Chinese"

  "I want barbecue"

  "Okay, just go get something and we'll meet at a table"

  "Okay"

  They all went to the places they wanted to eat at and met at a table in the center of the food court.

  "What happened?" Howie asked again

  "We were at that one store and you know when the girls started flirting with us?"

  "Yeah, I know"

  "Well, when we went to the bookstore-"

  "That girl came up to me and asked me my name and then threatened me saying that I should stay away from Nick because he was hers." Cassie told them.

  "Then I heard her and came up behind her and took her to the office with the security guards, and she refused to say her name so the guards took her to the cops and we'll hear from them later."

  "Oh" Howie said.

  "Well, do you know what's up with A.J.?" Sarah asked.

  "No, what's up with A.J.?"

  "Well, we were going to our room from the kitchen and Jen ran out of their room, then Tasha told me they broke up. We found A.J. curled up in the corner of the den." Kevin told them.

  "Oh" they all said.

  After lunch they took the escalators up to the second floor of the mall where the movie theaters and arcades were. It was 4:00 at the time, and the movie started at 4:30. Nick jumped straight to the arcade as soon as they got the tickets.

  "C'mon Cass! Let's play some games!" Nick said jumping up and down.

  "Okay, calm down!"

  Kevin and Natasha wanted to go into the movie theater and talk, and Howie and Sarah followed Nick and Cassie to the arcade. 

  Howie and Sarah started to look for Nick and Cassie. They found them at a skiing game playing against each other. After each of them were finished, the machine determined that Cassie was the winner.

  "Ha! Told you living near the mountains would pay off!" Cassie yelled.

  "You lived in the mountains?" Howie asked.

  "Yep, Utah."

    "Cool, So, do you want to race?" Howie asked.

  "Okay, prepare to crash!" Nick said with his finger by his mouth in his best Dr. Evil impression.

  Howie and Sarah sat beside each other and Nick and Cassie sat beside them.

  They put their quarters in and the machine went to life, "GO!" it yelled.

  Nick was in the lead and Howie was close behind him. They could see the finish line, Nick had won! Hadn't he?

  The screen started flashing, "Winner #5, Winner #5". All of them looked over to machine #5 to see who had won. Cassie gasped, it was the girl that was threatening her in the bookstore.
