Nyko is a young human male with bright green eyes, short flat brown hair, and a tatoo of a purple star of his left eye. Few would suspect that Nyko is of Tapani noble blood. Nyko's true name is Indio Marriot the brother of Angel Marriot, the former fiancee of rebel operative Lance Carleon . Throughout his entire Indio felt as if he was part of something greater, as if there were more to life than what met the eye. Indio worked as a technician in an aprenticship in a house sponsored station. He was called on to do some low level computer espionage. While many would have welcomed the chance to be swept up in house politics like that, Indio was disenchanted. He just withdrew further into his studies of martial arts and melee combat. Finally when he was in his early twenties, Indio could not take it anymore. He had to find where he belonged in the galaxy. He left, only saying goodbye to his sister, Angel, and her future husband Lance. Indio changed his name to Nyko, so that his family could not be any further disgraced by him. He also got a tatoo of a star around his eye, so that he could not be identified for who he really was, and as a symbol of the new life he was starting. Nyko wondered around the galaxy for about six monthes, in that time he did a lot of sould searching. Finally, he eneded up on a backwater planet of Miti'opop, in the fairly minor Kroutrak sector. It was on that planet that he heard a monk talking about a Great Circle. Indio sat and listened, enthralled. He spent several hours talking to the monk and converted. Nyko gladly went along with Mal'chi's vision. He saw it as fulfilling his spot in the great circle. Now, Nyko also sees it not just as his duty but as a personal goal.
